  1. Yes! Resealable containers food comes in are free storage containers. Wash and use again.

    1. I do this all the time....great way to save money! I also reuse those heavy freezer bags when I can. I nearly always wrap food before putting it in the bags so the bags themselves don't come in direct contact or get very messy. I just wash them in hot soapy water when I do the dishes, air dry thoroughly, and they're ready to go again. I can usually get 3 or 4 uses from each bag before it gets a hole in it or splits or doesn't want to seal properly.
      Besides being very economical, reusing food containers and storage bags is good for the environment too....they're made out of plastic and plastic takes the longest to break down when it goes to the trash dump.

    2. You both have excellent ideas. Reusing the containers food comes in is a particularly good one. Why throw them away when you can be kind to the environment and save some money?
